
Diane Shader Smith is a writer, speaker, educator, and communications strategist working at the intersection of narrative medicine, global health, environmental conservation, and mental health. A believer in the power of storytelling, she draws on personal narratives to shift perspectives, influence policy, and drive action on urgent global issues. Diane has lectured at Harvard Medical School, Stanford, and the CDC, and her work has taken her to The White House, NATO, and Capitol Hill. She is the creator of The Global AMR Diary in collaboration with the World Health Organization, serves on the LA Youth Mental Health Coalition board, and oversees all communications for The Gottlieb Native Garden, one of the most biodiverse private urban gardens in the country.
